A Public Reading Of An Unproduced Screenplay About The Death Of Walt Disney

Shoot The Moon presents award-winning playwright Lucas Hnath's 2013 entertaining and enlightening play, "A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay about The Death of Walt Disney".

In this darkly comic production that inverts the Walt Disney pubic persona Walt (Colin Grube) has invited you to his boardroom to hear him read aloud a new screenplay that he's written about his favorite topic... Walt.  Walt's screenplay examines his life, his times, his friends, his ambitions, his triumphs and... his death.  Nothing is sacred as playwright Lucas Hnath interrogates the Walt Disney myth, and how Walt and America intertwine, and have helped shape one another.  Along for the ride is Walt's Brother, Roy (Elias Burgess), son-in-law, Ron Miller (Harral Hamilton),and his daughter, Diane (Jennifer Moyse).  Alistair Follansbee stage manages, and Joshua Moyse directs.
